BioSTARS summer camp in Zurich: reporting on the first edition
14-08-2023 – BioSTARS summer camp in Zurich: A full immersion in the world of Life Science, Research and Entrepreneurship
During the first week of August 2023, twenty young people between the ages of 16 and 18 gained unique insights into state-of-the-art research laboratories as well as Wyss Zurich projects and start-ups. At the IREM Institute for Regenerative Medicine at the University of Zurich, participants received introductions to a wide range of research topics and were able to independently conduct (partial) experiments, for example: At ETH's Neural Control of Movement Lab they attended exciting demos from the field of neuroscience and at Wyss Zurich Regenerative Medicine Platform, there was an impressive demonstration of the hygiene and protective measures required for working in clean rooms.
