25-06-2018 – Stem cell transplantation in Multiple Sclerosis is a promising therapy but has not been approved in Switzerland so far. Now, the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health announced, that as of July 1, 2018, health insurers will have to cover the costs of this therapy.
“Finally, this is a breakthrough in the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis patients in Switzerland,” said Wyss Zurich Core Faculty member and University of Zurich neurologist Roland Martin, a leading MS researcher and driving force behind this initiative.
