World-renowned robotics researcher Roland Siegwart honored with Ernst-Blickle-Award

Congratulations to our Wyss Zurich Founding Co-Director Roland Siegwart!
Robots are ubiquitous. With prize money of 100,000 euros, the SEW Foundation in Bruchsal is honoring a robotics researcher who has made a decisive contribution to their development: Roland Siegwart, professor at the Institute of Robotics and Intelligent Systems at ETH Zurich, received the award for his contributions to the development and control of robotic systems.
Roland Siegwart has has also rendered outstanding services in turning research results into marketable products. Numerous start-ups can be traced back to his initiative. The honoree dedicated the €100,000 prize to his young scientists. "They are the ones who carry our visions out into the world," Siegwart thanked them after the award ceremony in the Fürstensaal of Bruchsal Castle.
